Wibe Ladders offers a wide range of products, by the following product categories in the menu to the right.
Wibe Ladders' first ladder was made in a little factory in Mora in 1929. It was the first ladder to be made from steel tubing, and few could then imagine that it would have such an impact.
The man behind the revolutionary steel ladder was the inventor Anders Wikstrand. Together with the financier Victor Berg he laid the foundations for the company which today is still run on their principles – putting quality and safety first in every step.
The many successes of Wibe Ladders are very much due to the inventive individuals who have left their mark on the company. The history archives state that Wibe Ladders employees were quite ingenious; today we would no doubt call them innovation driven. Because that is exactly what we are.
Over the years Wibe Ladders has made a number of acquisitions and we have moved the business from Mora to Nässjö. Wibe Ladders has continuesly led the way in the development of reliable ladders that meet the very highest market standards. This has resulted in us today being Scandinavia's leading manufacturer of tradesmen's ladders, trestle steps and scaffolding for trade professionals.
Today Wibe Ladders is a part of the Hultafors Group. This gives us the strength and resources to further expand our horizons and aim for our next objective – to become the leading brand when it comes to "Safety in every step".
As a business, Wibe Ladders was originally launched in Mora, but since 1996 it has been based in Nässjö. Its strong logistics base makes Nässjö the ideal location for ensuring prompt and speedy customer delivery.
The 14,000 square meter factory site accommodates the offices and production area, as well as a warehouse and test laboratory. Here traditional craftsmanship goes hand in hand with modern industrial robotics and fully automated production.
Today Wibe Ladders is owned by Hultafors Group AB.
Here in Nässjö we test all our products. But we are not satisfied with just meeting the toughest requirements set by European authorities. Nor with subjecting our products to regular testing by SP – the Technical Research Institute of Sweden – for type approval in accordance with current standards.
Nor, indeed, with carrying out our own monthly tests, verified by SP, to be sure that our products meet the high standards we claim of them. We think that there should be still higher standards governing your safety. That is why we also carry out our own tests which are a lot tougher than the requirements imposed by the authorities.
When the requirement dictates that a ladder be loaded with 300 kg at a time, we add dynamic testing in our specially developed test machine. There the trestle steps and step stool ladders from our PROF+ range have had to cope with 300 kg 100,000 times. Without breaking. That's what we call safe, in every step.
