Wibe Ladders offers innovative ladders and scaffolding that help trade professionals work more safely and efficiently. We provide a reliable solution for every type of task.

Wibe Ladders is part of Hultafors Group - a range of premium products designed for trade professionals who need to be one step ahead.

Wibe Ladders offers a wide range of products, by the following product categories in the menu to the right.

Wibe Ladders' first ladder was made in a little factory in Mora in 1929. It was the first ladder to be made from steel tubing, and few could then imagine that it would have such an impact.

The man behind the revolutionary steel ladder was the inventor Anders Wikstrand. Together with the financier Victor Berg he laid the foundations for the company which today is still run on their principles – putting quality and safety first in every step.

The many successes of Wibe Ladders are very much due to the inventive individuals who have left their mark on the company. The history archives state that Wibe Ladders employees were quite ingenious; today we would no doubt call them innovation driven. Because that is exactly what we are.

Over the years Wibe Ladders has made a number of acquisitions and we have moved the business from Mora to Nässjö. Wibe Ladders has continuesly led the way in the development of reliable ladders that meet the very highest market standards. This has resulted in us today being Scandinavia's leading manufacturer of tradesmen's ladders, trestle steps and scaffolding for trade professionals.

Today Wibe Ladders is a part of the Hultafors Group. This gives us the strength and resources to further expand our horizons and aim for our next objective – to become the leading brand when it comes to "Safety in every step".

As a business, Wibe Ladders was originally launched in Mora, but since 1996 it has been based in Nässjö. Its strong logistics base makes Nässjö the ideal location for ensuring prompt and speedy customer delivery.

The 14,000 square meter factory site accommodates the offices and production area, as well as a warehouse and test laboratory. Here traditional craftsmanship goes hand in hand with modern industrial robotics and fully automated production.

Today Wibe Ladders is owned by Hultafors Group AB.

Here in Nässjö we test all our products. But we are not satisfied with just meeting the toughest requirements set by European authorities. Nor with subjecting our products to regular testing by SP – the Technical Research Institute of Sweden – for type approval in accordance with current standards.

Nor, indeed, with carrying out our own monthly tests, verified by SP, to be sure that our products meet the high standards we claim of them. We think that there should be still higher standards governing your safety. That is why we also carry out our own tests which are a lot tougher than the requirements imposed by the authorities.

When the requirement dictates that a ladder be loaded with 300 kg at a time, we add dynamic testing in our specially developed test machine. There the trestle steps and step stool ladders from our PROF+ range have had to cope with 300 kg 100,000 times. Without breaking. That's what we call safe, in every step.

All our products are subjected to testing by SP – the Technical Research Institute of Sweden – for type approval in accordance with current standards. In addition we also perform our own regular tests, supervised by a third party agency, so that we can be sure that all our products meet the high standards we claim of them.

The Swedish Work Environment Act contains regulations governing the duties of employers and other persons responsible for safety in respect of promoting safety and preventing accidents in the workplace.

Regulation AFS 2004:3 of the Swedish Work Environment Authority details the requirements and obligations governing the working environment in terms of ladders and trestle steps. All of our products meet these high requirements and are therefore permitted to carry a label certifying that the ladder has been approved.

You see, for us there is only one thing that counts – that you should be able to trust us to put safety first at each and every step.

SP, the Technical Research Institute of Sweden, has the task of auditing products and structures to ensure they meet safety and environmental requirements. SP applies the provisions of both Swedish and international standards.

For ladders, the EN 131 European Standard applies, as well as the rather more stringent regulations of Swedish Standard SS 2091.

Type testing of ladders, trestles and step stool ladders. When SP inspects ladders, it uses European Standard EN 131 as well as the rather more strict regulations of Swedish Standard SS 2091. These requirements are imposed by the Swedish Work Environment Authority in Regulation AFS 2004:3 to protect your safety.

All of our ladders, trestle steps and step stool ladders meet these high requirements and are therefore permitted to carry a label certifying that the ladder has been approved. Our certificate for portable ladders bears the number 102102.

Our scaffolding is type tested to AFS 1990:12 and approved to Swedish Standard SSHD 1004, load class 3. Our certificates for scaffolding have the following numbers: 249402, 249403, 249405, 102104 and 102105.

SP, the Technical Research Institute of Sweden, tests and certifies roof safety products. A description of the requirements is contained in SP's "Certification Rules for Roof Safety Products", SPCR 014. Once these requirements are met, the products are awarded the P-mark. Our certificate for roof safety products bears the number 102101.

The P-mark means that, as a minimum, the product meets statutory and authority requirements, and, in most cases, even more strict requirements. The P-mark means firstly that the product has been type-tested, and secondly that the manufacturer's own inspections and testing are monitored by SP.

Don't forget to ask for the P-mark if you want to buy a quality product. The certification rules for P-marking of portable ladders are described in SPCR 064. Our P-testing certificate carries the number 102103.
